Makes 2 servings
4 cups water
1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
2 Tbsp fresh parsley
1 Tbsp fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
1 cup raw cucumber, peeled and sliced
2 kiwi fruits, peeled and chopped
Sweetener to taste like stevia, honey or maple syrup
Chop romaine lettuce leaves
Peel and chop ginger
Peel and chop cucumber
Peel and chop kiwi fruits
Remove flesh from 1/2 avocado
Place all ingredients in blender and process until smooth.
Add stevia to sweeten to taste.
NOTE: To turn this smoothie into a meal replacement, add a 5.3 oz container of plain Greek-style yogurt (dairy or plant-based), or a scoop of your favorite protein powder.
