RECIPE: Detox Green Smoothie

INGREDIENTS


Makes 2 servings


  • 4 cups water

  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped

  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped

  • 2 Tbsp fresh parsley

  • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger, peeled and chopped

  • 1 cup raw cucumber, peeled and sliced

  • 2 kiwi fruits, peeled and chopped

  • ½ avocado

  • Sweetener to taste like stevia, honey or maple syrup


DIRECTIONS


PREP:

  1. Chop romaine lettuce leaves

  2. Chop pineapple

  3. Peel and chop ginger

  4. Peel and chop cucumber

  5. Peel and chop kiwi fruits

  6. Remove flesh from 1/2 avocado

MAKE:

  1. Place all ingredients in blender and process until smooth.

  2. Add stevia to sweeten to taste.

NOTE: To turn this smoothie into a meal replacement, add a 5.3 oz container of plain Greek-style yogurt (dairy or plant-based), or a scoop of your favorite protein powder.
