Individual Nutrition Counseling
Individual nutrition counseling is as easy as 1-2-3. We start with a foundation of healthy habits based on your needs and, together, we build a path forward to reach your nutrition goals.
The core of our work will be about how to get that food onto your plate. We will develop strategies to plan your week, shop, stock your pantry, prep, and batch cook. All of this with the support of recipes, online journaling, and meal plans curated by Registered Dietitians.
Nutrition counseling services are available via telehealth or an in person session. If you are considering telehealth, the first step is to see if your insurance provider will cover a telehealth visit (see Questions for Your Insurance Provider below).
If you prefer an in person office visit here are the steps our office is taking to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
On the morning of your scheduled appointment, you will receive an email prompting you to fill out and submit the pre-session screening questionnaire.
Please arrive wearing a mask/cloth face covering, and continue to wear this mask/covering throughout the full length of the session.
Upon entering the office, you will be required to utilize our hand sanitizer.
Upon entering the office, Ellen will test your temperature.
Ellen will wear a mask throughout the full session.
Any office furniture including chairs, desks, etc. that may have been previously touched by a patient/client, will be thoroughly cleaned with medical-grade disinfectant before and after each session.

How To Verify Benefits: Questions For Your Insurance Provider
Ask about your plan's coverage for the following three nutrition-related CPT codes (Current Procedural Terminology)
97802 (Initial Assessment)
97803 (Follow-up Session)
99404 (Prevention & Wellness)
Important questions to ask:
Is tele-health provided by a dietitian a covered benefit at this time? Is there an end date to this coverage?
How many visits per calendar year are permitted?
Do you have a deductible to meet?
Is a co-payment required?
Is a physician referral required?
Is coverage limited to a specific medical diagnoses?
As an example, Medicare benefits for nutrition counseling are limited to those with a diagnosis of diabetes, or non-dialysis kidney disease.
