It’s amazing how much we squeeze into a day: work, kids, family activities and sometimes even time for ourselves. Let's be realistic, there are weekday nights when cooking a meal from scratch just isn’t going to happen. Store-bought can be a real time saver, turning a potential take-out night into a total kitchen win.

Here are some time-saving ideas:

  • Grab a rotisserie chicken, shred the meat and add to soups, salads, chilis or family taco night.

  • Check out the Chicken Paillard with Arugula from my meal plan and take a short-cut by adding store-bought rotisserie chicken and pre-roasted veggies..

  • Start with your favorite frozen wheat pizza dough or gluten-free cauliflower crust, add your favorite jarred sauce and vegetable toppings (leafy greens, roasted peppers, sautéed mushrooms, plus a sprinkle of flavorful cheese) to make it a meal!

  • Whip up a quick stir fry with a raw veggie mix from the produce aisle (or frozen stir fry veggies) + cauliflower rice (produce section or freezer aisle) + a protein like rotisserie chicken, eggs, or tofu. Check out this Tofu and Cashew Sheet Pan Stir Fry for inspiration.
