Total Time: 30 mins

Makes 4 servings

6 cup broccoli florets, chopped and steamed

1 Tbs sesame oil (or olive oil)

1 tsp ginger, grated

2 tsp soy sauce

2 tsp sesame seeds

  1. Wash and chop broccoli into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Grate ginger.

  1. Add 1 inch of water to a large sauté pan. Heat to boiling. Add broccoli florets, and cover. Steam for 4-5 minutes or until the broccoli turns bright green. Remove broccoli from pan.

  2. Wipe pan dry.

  3. In the same sauté pan warm sesame oil, ginger, and soy sauce until ginger starts to sizzle.

  4. Add broccoli cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and season with additional soy sauce if desired.

Steaming the broccoli ahead - batch cooking - turns this whole food into a fast food for any weeknight. This is an excellent recipe for any leftover steamed vegetable.
